Episode 1: "And so it begins...again":
Time: Noon, Place: At Shaun's house,Toronto,Ontario.
"Wow, thanks Dad! Your the greatest. A new computer?? You really are the best. How did you know??" asked Shaun. "Well, you've been strugglin' with that old one, so I said, hey what the heck, and I decided to get you a new one. The story's much longer than that. But, what matter's is that you got a new computer. Let's set it up," said Mr. Latouche, Shaun's dad.
12:30 pm.
"So, it's all done? Did you install everything already?? Wow, that was fast," commented Shaun. "It was all pre-installed. All we had to do was just plug everything in," responded Mr. Latouche, "I'll leave you to do your computer whiz work, or whatever you young peeps call it these days."
"Dad, do me a favour and don't ever say that again. I mean, no offense, but I'm thirteen now, not 5," smiled Shaun.
"Young people today just don't appreciate it when us adults try to be 'hip'," Mr. Latouche mumbled to himself as he walked out of Shaun's room.
"Wow, this computer even has a data counter. Hmm, 0000000000mb stored on computer. Well, what am I waiting for?? Download.com, here I go!!" exclaimed Shaun. As soon as he said that, his computer did something weird. "Whaaaa... Daaaaad?? Something's going on with the computer. It frrozzze!!!!" said Shaun. There was no reply. Shaun wailed for his Dad one more time, but, nothing. And there it was. A thing. Something that Shaun had never seen before. Something that we would better know as a digi-port.
"Whaaa... Ok... awkward. Daaaaad!! Don't joke around, CUZ I"M NOT JOKING!!! Ok, ok, I'm sorry for what I said, joke's over now. Daaaaad??!!??" yelled Shaun. Suddenly, on the computer screen, something strange popped up.
A one eyed creature of some sort. Shaun couldn't tell cuz' he didn't know what it was. He didn't know what a DIGIMON was. The data counter on the bottom right hand corner immediately changed from 0000000000mb, to 0000000001mb.
"Hmm, maybe if I click on it something will happen... I hope it's not a virus." said Shaun. He raised the cursor over to the strange image, a digimon we would know, only to well, to be known as a Kuramon. He was just about to click on the image. But before he could, it started to wiggle around. His hands pushed the mouse and cursor to chase the image any where it went, but he realized that it wasn't going far. He got a chance, and decided to to take it. CLICK! The Kuramon seemed to find it amusing somehow. As if he was tickling the image. "Heyy, your supposed to be gone. And heck, if you were a virus, you would be eating away at my computer data, which there was none of, until you popped up and took up a whole megabyte of space on my computer!!" exclaimed Shaun. Shaun was thinking about rebooting the computer, but then it happened again. His computer froze. And after that more images of the same object appeared on the computer. To us, they would be known as multiple Kuramon.
The data counter then read 0000000009mb on Shaun's new computer. "8 more of you little guys to deal with?? Okay, control, alt, delete!! WHAAA....?? Why isn't it working?" questioned Shaun. "Oh no, not again." The computer froze once more, this time displaying even more moving Kuramon.
One by one, the Kuramon kept popping up. The data counter quickly went from 0000000009mb to 0000000021mb. But that wasn't the end. The data ccounter then displayed 0000001100mb. Then 0000009999mb. Then 0000111000mb. It just wouldn't stop. The counter climbed all the way to 1600000000mb quicker than you could say "Diaboromon". "What the hell is going on with this computer?? And where the hell is my DAD!!??!!?" shouted a confused Shaun. The computer was going nuts, or at least, that's what Shaun thought. Maybe he was right. Before he could even finish that thought, the computer started to vibrate, just a little bit. The vibrating paused for a moment. And then it started again. But this time, it wasn't just a small vibration, this was practically an earthquake in a computer.
Shaun put his hand against the computer. Slowly, slowly...BOOOM! The computer made a really loud sound, and started shaking uncontrollably. There was a blinding light coming straight from the computer, and then, Shaun saw them. Real, live Kuramon. All of them. They burst through the computer, into the real world, and they rushed out of Shaun's house through his balcony. Shaun was shoved over by the Kuramon and ended up on his rear end. He was literally in shock and practically couldn't breathe. Weezing, and almost out air, Shaun stood up and looked at the computer. He became numb for a minute, but only to think about all the damage that those "things" could cause in the real world. "Shaun...must...with me. Can't...for...long...crest...patrion...bear...quickly...all is lost. Connection...digi...digi...bring me some food!" said a strange voice coming from the computer. A voice we should all be familiar with.
"You must...be..l..ev..self. Follow...light. Quickly...bring food." said the strange voice again. Shaun felt all too familiar with this voice. "Try and speak up, I CAN"T HEAR YOU!!!!!" exclaimed Shaun, "Oh, I get it. Well, I can follow the light, but I can't bring any food. Wait a sec, how do you expect me to go into the computer??" asked Shaun. "Believe...you must," said the voice. 'Concentrate, concentrate' thought Shaun. He was being pulled into the computer, closer, CLOSER...BANG. "Did I make it??" asked Shaun.

"Well, if you consider making it standing on two feet in the digital world, then yes my boy, you've made it. Welcome, my friend, to the Digi-world!" exclaimed a very excited old man of some sort.
"Whaaa...? Heyy, you're that old man I was hearing on the computer. What the hell were you trying to tell me??? All I truly understood was 'bring some food' and 'follow the light' so can you pleeease explain what you meant by all that stuff and by the way... WHERE AM I!!!!!!" shouted an angry and confused Shaun, still a little bit in shock of what just happened. "Wait a second, if you're that old man with the voice that came out of the computer, then that means... I MUST BE IN THE COMPUTER TOO!! AHHH get me the hell OUT OF HERE!!!!" yelled Shaun before he even gave the old man a chance to explain everything.
"Well if you'd calm down then maybe I'd be able to tell you exactly what's going on," said this very old man causing Shaun to calm himself down. "Now, let's move along shall we. My name is Gennai, and of course your name is Shaun. Well you knew that, didn't you? Of course you did. Anyways, this place that your in right now is called the Digital World, also known as the Digi-world. It's a purely digital place located in Earth's communication networks, which was why you had to be pulled into the computer," explained Gennai. "Ooh, now I get it... wait... no I don't," Shaun humoured.
"Hmm... come inside and I'll explain," said Gennai as he lead Shaun into his house located beneath the water. "Well, all I got was that we're in a place called the Digital World a.k.a. the Digi-world which is located where?" asked Shaun while he was walking down to Gennai's house. "Hmm, so you need simplificati... never mind. Let's just say that this place is a parallel version of Earth and it's digital, also located in a series of networks similar to the internet, which was why the use of a computer was necessary to get you here," explained Gennai. "Ohhh, now I really get it," said Shaun. "My child, you were summoned here because you are part of an international group of children called the 'digidestined'. They were the ones that saved you from Skullsatamon about two years ago on that bus with children, you know, around Christmas time," continued Gennai, "The digital world is inhabited by creatures known to earthlings and the creatures alike, as 'digimon'."
"Ohhh! So that was what that thing that attacked me and my sister about two years ago on that bus full of kids. We were on a trip with our Dad to Tokyo, and we were going to start taking classes to learn the local language for our time spent there. The day that our classes started, we went on a field trip, and then that's what happened. After that, we'd immediately left for home. Heyyy... that was the same day that my sister went missing, only she went missing two years later. This sounds suspicious. What did you have to do with this??" asked Shaun concerningly.
"I assure you my dear boy, nothing I've done involves me with your sister's disappearance, but I can tell you that we can get to the bottom of this, with a little bit of help," said Gennai as they finally entered his house. "The children that I told you about, the 'digidestined', were accompanied by those creatures known as 'digimon', which makes the human partner an official digidestined. That was how they helped you and all those other children on that bus. The digimon go through a process of evolution called 'digivolution' in which they digivolve to become stonger digital monsters," said Gennai. "Ohhh, I get it," interrupted Shaun as he followed Gennai through his underwater house. "Trust me, you don't get it yet. As I was saying, the digimon feeds off of the human partner's emotions to digivolve and become stronger. In order for a digivolution to occur, the bond must be strong between a human and their digimon partner, and it's best not to force a digivolution," explained Gennai.
"The emotional energy of the human partner is sent to the digimon through a device called a 'digivice', which you will receive in a few moments. I'm sure your in aww right now, but this is not the time. Well, it is, but that's another story. Anyways, before I introduce you to your digimon partner, destined to help you save all worlds, I should explain why I asked you to bring me some food," said Gennai. "And the reason is?" asked Shaun. "I was just hungry, that's all. I hadn't eaten in days, I tell you, days. But that's enough about me. Now, please enter this room," told Gennai.
"Please go a little bit closer to that scary glowing light so that I could introduce you to your new digimon," said Gennai. "That's exactly what I want to do, go near a scary glowing light so that when it explodes I get hit first," humoured Shaun. "Closer, keep going, stop!" exclaimed Gennai, "Now stand there," finished Gennai.
The light suddenly glowed brighter and brighter until it finally exploded... BOOOOM!!!!
"Hi partner, I'm Bearmon, what's your name??" asked the extremely happy digimon named Bearmon. "Uhhh, Gennai?? Ok whatever. I'm Shaun," answered Shaun.
"This is Bearmon, one of the most friendly Animal-Beast type digimon you'll ever meet. His attacks are Bear Fist, Bear Roll, and Karate Fist. He's your partner. Get aquainted quickly because they'll be here soon," hurried Gennai.
"Who'll be here soon??" asked Shaun.

"Do you recall those monsters that came out of your computer a couple moments ago?" asked Gennai.
"Of course, how the hell could I forget?? They almost made me have a heart attack!!" exclaimed Shaun. "Those monsters are very evil digimon, in fact, I'm not even sure if they are digimon. Anyways, about 5 years ago, a digi-egg (the egg from which a digimon is born, in this case an artificial one) created from a digidestined named Willis was attacked by a virus on the internet and it hatched into the digimon known as 'Kuramon' which was exactly what you saw come out of your computer. A group of digidestined kids named Tai, Matt, T.K., and Izzy challenged the Kuramon after it began eating data and digivolved into it's rookie form, Keramon. It continued to digivolve until it reached its final mega digivolution, Diaboromon. Thought to be defeated, he ended up returning about 3 years later looking for vengeance. They'd thought that they'd destroyed him, but no one's sure how he really survived. To make a long story short, in the 1st and 2nd fights he made duplicates of himself. In the 2nd fight the copies of Kuramon ran into the real world and digivolved together to become Armageddemon, who was way more powerful than Diaboromon," finalized Gennai.
"Ohh, so basically, your saying that the whole disaster could happen again if we don't prevent it!?!" said a confused Bearmon.
"Not exactly, you see, knowing Diaboromon, he wouldn't use the same plan twice. That's what's frightening about this whole sitiuation. He'll try to come up with something bigger and better than before. I need you to team up with all the digidestined from Tokyo and figure out what he's planning next. You're a special digidestined, Shaun. You and Bearmon hold the key to defeating this monster once and for all. You are the bearer of the Crest of Patrionism," said Gennai.
"This crest is like the old crests that the older digidestined used to use to help their digimon digivolve to their ultimate forms, however, this crest represents more than that. This special crest represents the connection between you and everyone else, whether digidestined or not. It also represents your crest insignia, Patrionism, for your belief in what's right and standing up for what's good. And finally, I must give you your digivice, the only thing that will help your partner, Bearmon, digivolve. Hold out your hand. I need to do something to your digivice before you can use it," said Gennai before he went into a chest flled with familiar glowing energy spheres.
"Wow, is this what a digivice really looks like?? Bearmon, you ready to digivolve cuz I say we give it a shot," said Shaun. "Umm hmm," nodded Bearmon.
"Hold on a second! These five energy spheres, known as Digi-cores, posess a massive amount of ancient digital energy, and I need you to make sure that this energy is distributed to each of the digidestined from Tokyo. Make sure you tell them that it's from the 4 digimon sovereigns along with a new addition, Fanglongmon. Anyways, the digivice you posess in your hand is called a 'D-3' which Izzy (one of the Digidestineds) will explain to you later on when you meet them. When I send the Digi-cores to your digivice, it will not only upgrade itself but will hold enough energy to give upgrades for everyone. Ready, 1,2,3 and..." said Gennai as soon as he shot the 5 Digi-cores at Shaun and his digivice.
The Digi-cores seemed to make Shaun's D-3 glow, and then suddenly englufed his D-3 in a blue light, all happening while it was still in his hand. "So Gennai, what's the D-3 going to become, and who the hell were you going to tell me was coming??" asked Shaun.

"Well, the expected outcome of the digivice is for it to be twice as powerful as the D-3, therefore what must be the new digivice that you hold in your hands now is called the "D-6 Digivice".
"What the... so this allows digivolution too. Whhaaa... my crest is on it... why?
"That shall be explained to you in the future but for now I must explain why you need to get going. Those digimon that came out of your computer are staying in the real world for now. However, there are more and they're right here in the digital world, already digivolved and in forms of Diaboromon. I've picked up they're trails and I've learned that they're heading here and fast too, I might add. By word of mouth I've learned that they want to kidnap me, although I honestly don't know why," said as he shoved Shaun and Bearmon out of his underwater house and near an blank-screened TV.
"This shall take you home. Put your digivice to the screen and say 'digi-port open' and you'll be home in no time, got it?"
"Yes, but Gennai, me and Bearmon can stay here and help you, we can fight them off, right Bearmon?" aksed Shaun.
"Sure can. C'mon Shaun, digivolve me!" said Bearmon. "Waaait a second!!!!" said Gennai, "I know what I'm doing. Shaun, you are the most special of the digidestined, you hold the key to our future. Why do you think I called you to the digital world in the first place? You're the only one of the digidestined that could get to the digital world without a digivice. Why do you think so? Because of your connection to everything around you. You and Bearmon will grow into an unstoppable team but you have many things to learn. If you were to stay here and try to fend off the Diaboromon, they'd only capture you too, and if I tried to get into the real world, they'd only follow me there, so you must be able to go to the digidestined in Tokyo and tell them what's happenening. You'll all be needed to help out and when you give them the digital upgrades you'll see why you're so special," explained Gennai. "I've given you something called an 'elemental digi-egg' to help Bearmon elemental armor digivolve, which is a type of ancient digivolution that'll give Bearmon power over the elements. It's one of a kind and because Bearmon can't reach his champion form at the moment, you'll need it. It's probably the most powerful digi-egg I've seen in my lifetime. Here, I also need to hand you this..."said Gennai.
"This is called the D-technal. It's what conceals your elemental digi-egg. It's an upgraded version of the D-terminal that the other digi-destineds have. Use this to email Izzy and find a meeting place immediately when you get home. With the digi-core energy in your D-6 digivice you'll be able to upgrade everyone's D-terminal as well. Now that I've explained everything I can at moment, you can get back home with Bearmon on your side. Now go and good luck!!" yells Gennai right before he pushes Shaun and Bearmon through the computer.

"Woah... was that a dream or... Aaaaah... wait, your Bearmon right?" asked Shaun.
"Yup, and your my partner, Shaun right?" asked Bearmon.
"Ok, so... wait what happened to Gennai?" said Shain as he looked up his computer, still viewing the digi-port.
"It's locked... but we can still see Gennai. Pheew, what a dang relief!" said Bearmon.
Suddenly, Gennai started to hear thumps, and turned around to look at what was behind him. A whole bunch of Diaboromon were facing him, and smiling too. The digi-port screen started to go staticky and went blank.
"Geeennnnnnaaaiiiiiii!! NOooo...!!" yelled Shaun.
"There's nothing we can do but get help from the other digidestineds in Tokyo right? And didn't Gennai mention something about emailing one of em' named Izzy?" questioned Bearmon.
"Ohh yeaahhh, and what was that he told us about elemental armor digivolving?" said Shaun, "You thinking what I'm thinking?" asked Shaun.
"I say we give it a shot!" said Bearmon.

Preview: As Shaun and Bearmon rush from Toronto, Ontario to New York to meet up with our favorite season 1 and 2 characters, Willis explains a little encounter he had with Shaun before Shaun even became a digidestined. A Plan is devised to save Gennai, and possibly save the world. Wait, are we really talking about saving the world already? We haven't even made it into episode 3 of the series, and I bet you can't wait. Stay tuned for the next episode of Digimon: Digital Monsters Zero Six 06!
